Previewing a search profile

As you change the search profile settings, you can preview the profile to see how the settings affect the interface.

The preview opens in the content edit mode. If you are logged in as an administrator with the PRIV_ROOMS_CONFIG privilege, this mode includes commands for customizing and editing the following things on the profile's Home page content:

  • The profile's banner (images, links, text, etc.)

    Important: Any image you use in the banner should not be taller than 100 pixels and can be no wider than 1000 pixels.

  • Page content in any of the columns
  • The profile's footer

The editing commands you see in the content edit mode will not be seen in the Search interface.

To preview a search profile

  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Choose Profiles from the navigation pane.

  3. Choose the Preview option next to the profile in the Search Profile List that you want to view.

    The profile’s Home Page opens.

  4. To customize or edit any content, choose the edit option for the area you want to customize (for example, the banner). For more information, see Fields: Preview Profiles.
  5. Once you are finished making changes, choose save.
  6. To return to the Search Profile list, choose your browser’s Back button.
